Christmas 2015

“Then the Grinch thought of something he hadn’t before! What if Christmas, he thought, doesn’t come from a store. What if Christmas…perhaps…means a little bit more!”
― Dr. SeussHow the Grinch Stole Christmas!

After last year’s video and its many, many hours of editing lightsabers we decided to do something a bit more “simple” this year – a single shot with no editing.  Merry Christmas and enjoy!

We have been in our house for a whole year now and love it.  It has been wonderful to have an all new house and be within walking distance of Bert’s parents.  The kids especially enjoy having their own rooms.

Elias is in 4th grade and loves school, especially math and singing in the Glee choir again.

Amelia started middle school and is doing great.  She is also playing percussion in the school band and will be running track in the spring.

Isaac is a sophomore.  He ran Cross Country for the first time and he really enjoyed it.  He is already starting his search for colleges (though we’re not sure we are ready for that yet).

The year did have some sad times with our good dog Charlie passing over the Rainbow Bridge.  However, Bert and his dad made a trip to Arizona to rescue Molly – the new addition to the family (you can see her in the video).

Bert has been enjoying his work at Portland General Electric, and Kristina has been extremely busy at work but she continues to enjoy the excitement of working with children and families.

We hope this Christmas note finds you well and this year’s video brings you joy well into the new year.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

The Martins
